WARRINGTON EMERGENCY AID CENTER INCORPORATED

Warrington Emergency Aid Center, aka WEAC, has been providing food assistance to needy residents of the Warrington community for the past 43 years. As one of the oldest food pantries in Escambia County, WEAC’s mission of serving the food insecure was established at the outset by its handful of local, founding churches.
Today, this non-sectarian, all-volunteer organization provides enough emergency food to supply meals to nearly 800 households, as well as support to local outreach groups that cater to specific, vulnerable populations. Besides monthly distributions to local residents, WEAC’s partnership programs include: Warrington Elementary School’s Feed the Kids on the Weekend Program, Bright Bridge Ministries, Family of Hope Ministries’ Meals for Veterans, Alpha Center Inc. of Pensacola, Turning Point Food Pantry, and St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
WEAC exists entirely through the donations of the Warrington community. From the congregations of its member churches to neighbors and local businesses that support quarterly fundraisers, WEAC has established itself as a monthly food provider to individuals and families in need.
