Poverty, disaster, and war situations leave many children vulnerable to malnourishment—a condition that has irreversible effects. Without adequate food, children can suffer from stunted growth, impaired cognitive function, and poor immune systems.
Samaritan's Purse is providing nutritious food for children who are in danger of becoming malnourished, and performing regular screenings to monitor their growth. We also provide supplemental food and medical treatment for children who are already dangerously malnourished. In addition, Samaritan's Purse supports school feeding programs and provides food for orphanages.
