We provide direct assistance and resources through four projects: The Moneyless Market Place; The Glinda C. Anderson Scholarship Project; The Next Step Project; and the Mindy McWilliams-Lewis Project. (1) The Moneyless Market Place sets up periodic markets and invites those in need to come and shop without money for clothing, appliances, furniture, household items in return for signing up for life skill classes; (2) The Glinda Anderson Scholarship Project helps individuals who have earned a C+ average to obtain assistance with tuition, books, food, personal items, to help defray the costs associated with attending college or any trade school or training to better that person’s employment opportunities and skills; (3) The Next Step Project is ten components that can be broken down into two segments to assist individuals in the areas of clothing, food, shelter, housing, employment, financial services, senior care, general counseling, and other related areas for a healthy lifestyle; (4) The Mindy McWilliams-Lewis Project primarily works with shelters as a resource for the outreach their clients need daily. We have recently added a media component that shares the stories of those who need help and those individuals or organizations who provide that help from the community or the business sector. The media presence is in the form of a cable television show, which is streamed across the nation.
