MILITARY OFFICERS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA SCHOLARSHIP FUND

MOAA Charities traces its roots to the MOAA Scholarship Fund, established in 1948 to provide scholarships, grants, and interest-free loans to students from military families. In 2014, The MOAA Foundation was established to expand MOAA’s philanthropic support for the uniformed services community. Both organizations were created to allow MOAA to fulfill its commitment to serve this community philanthropically. To continue and strengthen that commitment, the MOAA Scholarship Fund and The MOAA Foundation merged on March 1, 2026, to become MOAA Charities, bringing their programs and resources together under a single charitable organization. Through this unified structure,

MOAA Charities delivers meaningful, practical support through five programs: Crisis
Relief, Education Assistance, Community Outreach, Professional Development, and
Financial and Benefits Education.

These programs are made possible through generous donations from individuals, support
from corporate sponsors, and resources provided by MOAA. Signature fundraising events, including the annual MOAA Charities Golf Classic and the Roast & Toast event at MOAA's TotalForce+ Conference, generate additional support. Together, these contributions allow MOAA Charities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of servicemembers,
veterans, and their families nationwide.
