MARYLAND THERAPEUTIC RIDING INC

Since 1996, Maryland Therapeutic Riding (MTR) has transformed lives through the powerful connection between humans and horses. Located on a 25-acre farm in Crownsville, Maryland, MTR provides high-quality equine-assisted services that foster healing, growth, independence, and connection for children and adults of all ages and abilities.

Our programs support individuals experiencing physical, cognitive, developmental, behavioral, and emotional challenges, as well as active-duty military members, veterans, first responders, and their families. Services include Adaptive Riding and Horsemanship, Physical and Speech Therapies, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, specialty programs, education, and community-based experiences.

In 2025, MTR served 765 participants and provided more than 4,500 hours of service to our community. As a PATH International Premier Accredited Center, MTR is committed to delivering safe, professional, and impactful services while providing exceptional care for the horses who make this work possible.
