(CSF) was originally incorporated in 1993 as the Commission on Aging Foundation and reorganized in 2015 as the Community Services Foundation of Cecil County, Inc. Over the years, the Foundation has faithfully provided resources and assistance to initiate quality programs, fund a variety of needs during emergent situations and support the overall mission of the Cecil County Department of Community Services. The Foundation is a 501©3 organization and welcomes support from local businesses, organizations, and individuals. The mission of the Community Services Foundation of Cecil County, Inc. is to foster, support and develop community-based programs that enhance the well-being of children, families, older adults, persons with disabilities and Cecil County’s animal population. The Foundation seeks to spearhead initiatives that address the growing needs and interests of the community. The Foundation works in tandem with the Cecil County Department of Community Services to develop and maintain community-based services and programs.
The Foundation has played an integral role in providing assistance to a variety of projects, programs and services under the administrative umbrella of the Cecil County Department of community Services to include:
The Healthy Lifestyles Fitness Center;
Development of the Department's Volunteer Program;
Medical Transportation;
The Taxi Voucher Program and Free Veteran Bus Pass Program;
Healthy Options Program-Seniors (H.O.P.S.);
Cecil County Animal Services;
Cecil Community Center Feasibility Study;
Home Delivered Meal Programs;
