Prairie View, Inc. is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) serving Harvey, Marion, and McPherson counties in central Kansas — a predominantly rural, three-county region of approximately 76,000 residents facing significant behavioral health disparities.
In 2025, Prairie View delivered 147,012 services to 6,075 individuals, providing a full continuum of care that includes outpatient therapy, psychiatric services, crisis intervention, mobile crisis response, school-based services, telehealth, peer support, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Our Behavioral Urgent Care program achieved an 88% community diversion rate and a 97% diversion rate from state psychiatric hospitalization — keeping individuals stable in the least restrictive setting possible.
Our service area faces unique and compounding challenges. All three counties are federally designated Mental Health Professional Shortage Areas. Disability rates exceed the state average, reaching 18.7% in Marion County. Adults 65 and older comprise up to 24.8% of the population. The region encompasses more than 1.5 million acres of farmland, creating geographic isolation, transportation barriers, and limited access to specialty care.
Through Prairie View's AgAssist program, we extend behavioral health services specifically to farming families and agricultural workers — a population facing occupational stress, geographic isolation, and persistent stigma around seeking help.
We deliver services where people are, not just where clinics are. In 2025, we provided 29,690 school-based services to 1,029 youth, 14,950 telehealth services to 3,401 individuals, and 139 services to 64 justice-involved individuals in local jails. We also completed 9,058 suicide risk screenings, with 100% of high-risk individuals entering a treatment pathway.
Corporate investment in Prairie View supports rural communities that are often overlooked by traditional philanthropic infrastructure. Gifts fund expanded outreach, mobile crisis services, youth early intervention, and supportive housing — directly reducing emergency department utilization, strengthening rural workforce health, and supporting community stability across central Kansas.
