SISKIYOU COMMUNITY FOOD BANK

YREKA, California

The Mission of the Siskiyou Community Food Bank (SCFB) is to work towards "Ending Hunger" in Siskiyou County. Nutrition is of great importance, SCFB provides healthy foods to low-income households including seniors, disabled, veterans, unemployed, underemployed, and victims of a natural disaster. SCFB encourages eating healthy by adding fruits and vegetables, and follow the USDA nutrition guidelines. Exercise is important for your health and is encouraged.

Siskiyou Community Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization. Low-income households can access food, between 65 to 95 pounds of food per month, and homeless families can receive a bag of pre-cooked and ready-to-eat foods on a weekly basis. Actual food pondage may vary.

SCFB collaborates as much as possible with other local non-profits. The goal is to work together to provide nutritious foods to those we help.

Our organization is 100% volunteer! This means 100% of monetary donations go towards the purchase of healthy foods.

SCFB is registered with the State of California as a Charitable Trust Organization.
