HOPEWAY FOUNDATION

HopeWay is a nonprofit mental health organization serving children, teens, and adults through multiple levels of care. It was founded to address a critical gap in the continuum between hospitalization and returning home. Our holistic, evidence-based approach integrates psychiatric care, therapeutic services, and community education to improve access and reduce stigma. This work is especially urgent as mental health needs continue to rise. North Carolina ranks 39th nationally for access to mental health care, reflecting shortages of providers and persistent financial and systemic barriers.

Since opening our adult intensive psychiatric treatment center in 2016, HopeWay has expanded in response to community need. Today, we provide residential treatment for adults; outpatient services for children, teens and adults; care for Veterans and First Responders; and day programs for teen and adult mental health treatment including specialized programs for teens and young adults struggling with eating disorders.
