MINNESOTA FRIENDS KARAOKE INC
Rosemount, MinnesotaChristened by its founder and founded in 2008 by a group of friends and families from India who had common interests and passion for music either in the form of singing / playing instruments added with socializing – today the Minnesota Friends Karaoke Inc. (henceforth referred to as MNFK) has evolved into a successful organization that presents and promotes the cultural aspects of South India’s richness in the fields of light music and Indian theater here in the Twin Cities through veteran artistes & theatre groups who visit North America (USA & Canada) on professional musical tours. In 2012 MNFK acquired its 501c status where its mission extended to charity – donating funds to needy organizations such as Feed My Starving Children, Are You Hungry MN etc. – utilizing the profits raised from their shows.
MNFKs past and current program of activities and performances serves approximately 200 to 300 families twice every year in Dakota County in the state of MN. Every calendar year MNFK usually hosts 2 events / shows as part of its Annual project series. Usually this consists of a stage play and a light music concert. Though the artistic groups are different and the event dates are different MNFK treats them as a single project series - which is usually hosted in one of the 3 following seasons of the year:
MNFK Summer / Fall Series - spans between June - August
MNFK Fall / Winter Series - spans between August - November
MNFK Winter / Spring Series - spans between Jan - April
