The Traveling Memorial "Wall Of Honor" which represents all of America's fallen Heroes lost in combat which includes Desert Storm/Desert Shield and all fought under Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom Operation New Dawn, Operation Inherent Resolve, US Africa Command, US Command Operations. At this present time from 1991, 911 to the current date 12/31/2018, there are 6,104 names, faces and bios of those killed in combat.
The Wall of Honor is in chronological order by date of death.
At the times the Wall is on display and many may need the assistance to locate a person that was lost. We used the website Military Times/Honor the fallen for information and pictures for the construction of the Wall. This website has a search engine in which we are able to locate a certain person by last name, on occasion , first name, home state upon enlistment, home town, or the combination of these. The need for adequate laptop computers is needed. We need 2. Also the construction for keeping the Traveling Wall up to date requires a pc and a photo shop program in which to construct the panels for print.
Therefore we need 2 well functioning pcs that are compatible with the necessary programs and web compatible.
Freedom is an ideal of surpassing strength, It is the power of self determination. In the wars of the mother land, the United States of America, freedom was led by the men and women carrying the torch of freedom, that led and inspired the forces through the darkness of conflict. Vets Helping Vets HQ, and its volunteers, are dedicated to the concept of freedom from INJUSTICES to the young men and women of our nation. We need to remember a nation cannot endure if it fails to care for its men and women who served to defend it.
Vets Helping Vets HQ defends the principle of equal opportunity for all in a country where all may enjoy the blessings of FREEDOM. The Wall of Honor is a reminder of the cost of FREEDOM. It is here to remind you that AMERICA will remain the land of the Free only as long as AMERICA remains the home of the BRAVE. LOYALTY is an attribute of the AMERICAN people, as it is the first virtue of the person serving in the UNIFORM of our COUNTRY. As we put aside the BLUES, the GREENS, the CAMO fabrics that made us one people on the many battlefields, we can hold in our minds that TOLERANCE which we have achieved. To visit the WALL OF HONOR, remember the cost of FREEDOM, remember those who have given the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE, remember the people who will go home to the empty spot at the dinner table, those that will have known the loss of their loved one paying that cost that keeps our NATION so great. REMEMBER that we shall move forward in the sight of GOD as a strong nation.
In 2014 we, VHVHQ received the WALL OF HONOR to care for, update, and display for the public at no cost. We have done so and will continue to do so.
