Orange Baker Post 187 Historic Museum and Mobile Outreach
by AMERICAN LEGION ORANGE BAKER POST 187 DELAND FLORIDAOrange Baker Post 187 is proud to preserve and share African American military history, highlighting significant events and contributions from the Civil War through the Gulf War. Our physical museum stands as a tribute to the sacrifices and achievements of African American service members, educating visitors about their vital role in shaping our nation’s history.
To reach those unable to visit our physical location, we’ve established a Mobile Museum—bringing this rich history directly to schools, community centers, and events. However, transporting these invaluable artifacts in personal vehicles has proven both challenging and inefficient.
We are in urgent need of an enclosed cargo trailer to safely and efficiently haul our Mobile Museum to communities near and far. This trailer will ensure we can continue sharing these important stories while protecting the historical items for future generations.
Your donation will directly help us purchase a trailer, allowing us to expand access to this vital history and inspire greater understanding and appreciation of African American military contributions.
Thank you for supporting our mission to honor, educate, and preserve this legacy for all communities.
