LT HELTON MEMORIAL FOUNDATION INC

Organization created following the death of Lt. Joseph Helton Jr while on a mission outside the wire in Iraq on September 8, 2009. Initially organized for the creation of a memorial honoring Fallen Service Members and First Responders in Walton County, and the Walton County Veterans Memorial in Monroe, Georgia, and local college scholarships. The Foundation has continued with the creation of a memorial honoring the Fallen USAF Security Forces in Tampa, Florida, sponsoring 3-4 annual Leadership Awards to recipients of SFOC graduating classes in San Antonio, Tx, supported Troop Rewards, annual support of Stop Soldier Suicide, and volunteer during troop morale fundraising events during Helton Week and Police Week at MacDill AFB, and participates in an annual elementary award ceremony presenting the Joseph Helton award to a graduating 5th grader.
