Willis Dady Homeless Services is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency located in Cedar Rapids, IA. Our organization serves individuals and families experiencing or near homelessness in Linn County. Founded in 1987, by an individual who had personal experience with homelessness for more than 25 years, Willis Dady began as a day center, which quickly transitioned to an emergency overnight shelter, and more than 30 years later now provides the following programs:

Emergency Shelter for single men and families to have a safe location to sleep at night and receive case management to identify their strengths, barriers, and goals
Homeless Prevention for households in imminent danger of homelessness to turn their situation around and become stable and self-sufficient in their housing
Street Outreach services for individuals and families sleeping outside, under bridges, or in places not meant for human habitation gain their emergent needs and be connected to a housing service that can assist them in gaining housing
Rapid Rehousing programs to financially assist households in moving from homelessness to stable housing
Supportive Housing services for individuals and families who have experienced persistent homelessness receive ongoing case management while transitioning to stable housing
Employment services for individuals seeking an opportunity to enter or re-enter the workforce in order to earn a steady income to maintain stable housing
Transitional Veteran Housing programs for veterans who served our country but are struggling with homelessness

Willis Dady provides individualized, one-on-one case management for each household entering our programs. We believe everyone deserves respect, compassion, integrity, and acceptance, as they move from homelessness to housing.
