The National Veterans Art Museum (NVAM) is home to a one-of-a-kind collection that reveals the deeply personal and often untold stories of war and military service. Through the eyes of veteran artists, our exhibitions and programs provide windows to a profound understanding of the human experience, bridging the divide between civilians and service members.
Now in its second year, Stroke of Art is more than just a day on the course—it’s an opportunity to directly support NVAM’s mission and expand the reach of our groundbreaking initiatives. Your sponsorship helps ensure we continue to preserve and share this vital collection while introducing transformative projects like our NVAM Fellowship, a nationwide program empowering veteran artists to create, connect, and inspire communities while gaining skills to advance their careers.
On Monday, September 8, 2025, NVAM is hosting Stroke of Art at Ridgemoor Country Club on the northwest side of Chicago. Ridgemoor has always maintained a strong relationship with our nation’s veterans. In fact, Ridgemoor famously hosted the 1942 Hale America Open, a war time substitute for the cancelled US Open golf tournament, where the proceeds were converted into war bonds supporting the World War II economic efforts of the war.
We invite you to join this exciting and exclusive fundraising event. The day is intended to encourage camaraderie and philanthropy supporting the museum’s endeavors with your family, friends, co-workers, clients, and new NVAM friends. By partnering with NVAM, you are not only aligning your brand with a cause that resonates deeply across generations, but you are also helping to shape a future where art and storytelling deepen our collective understanding of the impacts of war and military service. Together, we can make an enduring difference.
