142,000+ Eviction Filings: Help Eats 4 The Streets Support 50 Atlanta Households
Metro Atlanta’s eviction crisis demands attention. Georgia Public Broadcasting reported in September 2026 that 142,047 eviction cases were filed across the five-county metro area over the preceding 12 months. Behind these filings are people facing uncertainty about their homes and how they will meet their basic needs.
Eats 4 The Streets is seeking grant funding and donations to provide emergency food and care packages to 50 households facing eviction or recently displaced from their homes in metro Atlanta.
We are committed to helping people facing hunger, displacement, and crisis wherever our resources and partnerships allow us to respond. This initiative welcomes individuals and families of all backgrounds—including parents with children, couples, seniors, veterans, and adults living alone. Assistance will be based on immediate needs.
Your support will help provide:
Food and water: Ready-to-eat meals, nutritious snacks, and bottled water.
Hygiene essentials: Soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, and menstrual products.
Family necessities: Diapers, wipes, and other supplies matched to household needs.
Comfort items: Socks, blankets, and basic clothing.
Delivery and distribution: Getting essential supplies directly to recipients.
Transportation assistance: Help reaching shelters, appointments, and support services, as funding allows.
We plan to coordinate with local community organizations to identify needs and distribute care packages. We will also share information about shelter, housing assistance, and other community resources. When sufficient funding and confirmed arrangements allow, our team may travel to Atlanta to support distribution directly.
Our initial goal is to serve 50 households, then expand as funding and partnerships grow. We will track spending, packages distributed, and households served so donors can see the impact of their contributions.
A care package cannot replace a home, but it can provide food, essential supplies, and comfort during a difficult transition.
Help Eats 4 The Streets bring care, dignity, and practical support to people affected by metro Atlanta’s eviction crisis.
