MINNESOTA WARRIORS ICE HOCKEY

The Duluth Warriors, an organization that has been organized for charitable and educational purposes, for United States Military personnel wounded, injured or otherwise disabled veterans of the United States Military in conjunction with the Minnesota Warriors and USA Disabled Hockey Program, to assist our veterans with reintegration into civilian life. As of today, there are over 100 disabled veterans in our area that are playing in our program.
Unlike other veteran programs, Minnesota Warrior Hockey uses ice time to build camaraderie and a sense of community. Veterans are often challenged with identity and self-confidence issues after service. Hockey assists our participants in finding their identities again. These challenges are best solved with peer-to-peer support. This path of success begins on the ice and eventually returns to the participant’s family, community, and workplace. Our participants have disabilities that were incurred during and/or after military service.
