Middleburg American Legion Post 295 and its associated 501(c)(3) Middleburg Veterans Educational & Charitable Endeavors, Inc. (DBA MVECE) serve as a cornerstone for veteran support, youth development, and community engagement across Loudoun and Fauquier Counties, Virginia.
Rooted in a longstanding tradition of service, our organization is dedicated to supporting veterans and their families while strengthening the broader community through meaningful, nonpartisan programs. We focus on delivering practical impact at the local level—where support is personal, visible, and lasting.
A core pillar of our work is youth development and civic education. We actively sponsor and operate programs such as Boys State, Girls State, the American Legion Oratorical Contest, middle school essay competitions, and youth athletics including American Legion Baseball. These programs are designed to develop leadership, confidence, and a deep understanding of citizenship, government, and civic responsibility. Through mentorship and hands-on engagement, we help prepare young people to become informed and active participants in their communities.
In parallel, we provide direct support to veterans through peer-based assistance, community integration, and “veterans helping veterans” initiatives. Our Post serves as a gathering place where veterans can connect, support one another, and remain engaged in meaningful service beyond their time in uniform.
We also play an important role in maintaining and improving community infrastructure. Our facility serves as a hub for meetings, events, and programs that benefit both veterans and the broader public. We are actively working to enhance accessibility and ensure our space is welcoming and usable for aging veterans and individuals with disabilities, including ADA-compliant improvements that will allow us to expand our reach and impact.
Our approach is grounded in accountability, inclusivity, and community service. All programs and activities are conducted in a nonpartisan manner, and we are committed to maintaining an environment that is respectful, inclusive, and open to all members of the community we serve. Funds entrusted to us are applied directly to programmatic impact, with a focus on transparency and responsible stewardship.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking to build partnerships with organizations and donors who share our commitment to strengthening communities, supporting veterans, and investing in the next generation of leaders. Through these partnerships, we aim to expand our programs, increase access, and ensure long-term sustainability of the services we provide.
