Quilts of Valor for Veterans

Our chapter presents veterans with a Quilt of Valor in recognition of their service to our country. The Quilts of Valor Foundation provides quilts at no charge when requested, however, demand is so high and their waiting list is so long, that our chapter members have taken on the project of making the quilts ourselves to lessen the time to presentation. All quilts meet the QOV Foundation’s guidelines and are presented in accordance with the Foundation’s criteria. Donations to the chapter cover the expenses for supplies (which include, but are not limited to fabric, batting, notions as needed) and contracting long arm quilter’s services. Time spent by our members constructing the quilts are strictly voluntary with no compensation.
