SOUTH DAKOTA FREEDOM HUNTS

South Dakota Freedom Hunts, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization whose mission it is to carry on the South Dakota tradition of hunting for two groups of hunters. Hunts are designed for hunters who are challenged by physical or special needs situations. It is our purpose to allow these hunters to return to the field in a safe, controlled, and supervised manner. South Dakota Freedom Hunts, Inc. will provide the medical, technical, and supportive care necessary to make hunting a reality for ALL who wish to seek the joys of outdoor adventure. Hunts are also designed for youth hunters who have passed an approved hunter safety course but have not had a field experience. “First Steps” hunts are designed to be educational, safe, and fun. While in the field approved guides will stress the importance of hunter safety, hunter ethics, conservation practice, tips for success, and caring for wild game. Participants will have a parent or mentor with them at all times. Mentors will be provided for those youth hunters who need one. In addition, it is also the mission of South Dakota Freedom Hunts, Inc. to make these experiences free of charge to the participants. This will be accomplished by seeking sponsors to cover the cost of each hunter.

South Dakota Freedom Hunts, Inc. is a South Dakota 501 (c) (3) non-profit. We seek donations to support our Mission Statement above. Annual costs exceed $10,000/yr. We seek lead sponsorships at $3000/year but any amount is appreciated.
