SDM2 PROJECT EDUCATION

SDM² Project Education is grassroots, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization rooted in the belief that every individual deserves dignity, opportunity, and support. What began as an educational support initiative has grown into a vital lifeline for our neighbors, serving seniors, single parents, veterans, students, returning citizens, and those experiencing homelessness, unemployment, and food insecurity. Our mission is simple yet profound: to uplift the community where they are, and to nurture self-esteem, wellness, and pride through holistic programming. From literacy and youth development to health and nutrition services, SDM² meets urgent needs with compassion and consistency. We treat every person with dignity; and in turn we see that dignity ripple outward, strengthening the entire village. Today, we face a pivotal moment. Our current space can no longer contain the growing demand for our services. We have identified a promising solution: the former Detroit Open School, located adjacent to our current site at 24601 Frisbee Street. This closed school building offers the perfect canvas to expand our reach, deepen our impact, and establish a permanent, visible presence in the community we serve. We are launching a capital campaign to acquire and renovate the Detroit Open School and we need your help. Your past support has been instrumental in our journey, and we invite you to walk with us once more as we take this bold step forward. This project will allow us to: • Expand existing programs in education, health, and nutrition • Launch new initiatives that promote family stability and community wellness • Create a dignified, welcoming space where every person feels seen, valued, and empowered.
