Workshops for Warriors (WFW) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to training veterans, wounded warriors, and transitioning service members for skilled careers in advanced manufacturing. Through accredited programs in CNC machining, welding, and other high-demand trades, WFW provides nationally recognized credentials that enable graduates to secure stable, well-paying jobs. With a focus on workforce development, WFW also addresses housing and food insecurities, mental health support, and career placement, ensuring veterans have the resources needed for long-term success. By building America’s workforce, WFW empowers veterans with the skills and opportunities to thrive in civilian life. To date 1400+ WFW graduates are working across America in manufacturing a defense companies.
The demand for skilled manufacturing workers in America has never been greater, and Workshops for Warriors is scaling up to meet this urgent need. As we expand our programs and facilities, including new CNC machining and welding training centers, the number of students we serve will significantly increase. To maintain our program's high standards and provide the individualized training and support our veterans deserve, we must grow our team of instructors and staff. Additional personnel are critical to ensuring that each veteran receives the hands-on training, mentorship, and certifications necessary to excel in advanced manufacturing careers.
Workshops for Warriors (WFW) addresses America's worker shortage by providing intensive, hands-on training program for veterans to help fill this critical gap. Programs are operating throughout the year Monday–Friday in a 640-hour compressed format. The program combines classroom instruction with advanced manufacturing labs, equipping students with industry-recognized credentials in CNC machining, welding, and other high-demand trades. This fast-track training ensures graduates are job-ready for stable, high-paying careers.
Supporting Workshops for Warriors (WFW) is crucial to addressing the national shortage of skilled workers in advanced manufacturing. With 800,000 unfilled manufacturing jobs across the U.S.—a number expected to rise to 2.1 million by 2030—there is an urgent need for trained professionals. National defense and manufacturing companies require as many skilled workers as WFW can provide today. By equipping veterans with industry-recognized certifications, WFW helps bridge the workforce gap, strengthen America’s manufacturing sector, and ensure economic and national security.
