JERSEY BLUE DAR

New Brunswick, New Jersey

Since 1914, our chapter has been the stewards of Buccleuch Mansion, the historic home of General George Washington's aide-de-camp, Anthony Walton White. The mansion is open to the public as a museum with chapter members serving as docents. Carrying on a proud and long-standing tradition of supporting America's service men and women, our chapter manages a clothing room at the Menlo Park Veterans' Home and sponsors other recreational activities for veterans.

The grassroots work of local chapters promotes the organization's objectives of historic preservation, education and patriotism. In communities across the country and around the world, DAR members support these ideals through participation in:

Restoring and maintaining historic sites
Preserving historical records and artifacts
Locating, restoring and marking American Revolutionary War patriot grave sites and headstones
Supporting schools, awarding scholarships and ... Read More
