Cause Profile
VISIONCORPS
Lancaster, PennsylvaniaVisionCorps exists to empower individuals with vision loss to attain independence.
In 1926, six individuals created the Lancaster County Association for the Blind to help veterans blinded in WWI receive employment and support. Fast forward 100 years, and the agency - now VisionCorps - provides amazing tools and training necessary for clients in five counties across southcentral PA to live as independently as their sighted peers. VisionCorps also screens more than 12,000 children each year for vision issues prior to starting school.
