Help Leadership Pasadena bridge gaps and connect our community! Support business owners from underrepresented groups in our area.
Leadership Pasadena develops collaborative, forward-thinking leaders who embrace diverse perspectives and build resilient, equitable communities and organizations. To build a stronger Pasadena, each year we bring together an inclusive and diverse cohort of leaders to support our goal. Often small business owners do not have the available funds to participate in professional development and learning programs of this immersive nature. Our program offers learning that is required to take their business to the next level in our community.
The impact of Leadership Pasadena's a Small Business Owner Scholarship is profound.
Participants receive over 44+ hours of leadership development by a professional coach and 30+ hours of deep community learning. Business owners who participate in our annual program benefit with increased professional skills, confidence, and connections, but our community benefits as well. Upon graduation, our participants are connected with fellow alumni in every industry sector for professional collaboration, business support, and civic initiatives. Our participants have increased their knowledge of the community, leading them to engage in their neighborhoods through volunteering, offering in-kind donations, and taking part in all forms of civic activism from supporting local schools to serving on non-profit boards to joining city commissions.
Small Business Owner Scholarships are offered to those who would not otherwise be able to afford to take part in our program. Scholarships of $5000 per person are offered to businesses owners who are either minority and/or vet-owned or small start-ups. We'd like to offer 2 of these scholarships to our 2025 class which runs from January - June 2025.
