MID HUDSON WORKSHOP FOR THE DISABLED INC

Mid Hudson Works has been serving the Hudson Valley Community for over 75 years. Established in 1948, with the help of The Kiwanis Club of Poughkeepsie and IBM Corp., the workshop started providing workforce development and training opportunities to people with disabilities. As needs changed over time, we realized there was a need to also provide services to additional underserved groups, such as Veterans, Veterans with disabilities, individuals recovering from incarcerations, and lower-income individuals. The workshop has expanded the group of individuals we aim to serve and our goal is to provide training and workforce development opportunities to help prepare these individuals for movement into a new career or role. Several of the individuals we serve just need a second chance in life, while others just may need to work in an environment that understands their needs and can help them adjust before re-entering the workforce more permanently.
