At The Salvation Army, we are dedicated to supporting and guiding the next generation. Our youth programs provide a safe, structured, and welcoming environment where children and teens can learn, grow, and thrive.
We work alongside families to ensure that youth have the tools, encouragement, and support needed to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. As demand for these programs continues to grow, it is essential that the spaces in which they take place reflect the same level of care, inspiration, and possibility that we aim to provide through our services.
To support this goal, we are seeking to refresh and enhance our Youth Music & Arts Room—a central space where creativity, self-expression, and skill-building take place. This project will transform the room into a more vibrant, engaging, and functional environment that better supports program activities and fosters a sense of belonging among participants.
The project will include painting and brightening the entire room, installing a whiteboard to support instruction and creative expression, and adding posters and décor that inspire imagination and learning. In addition, the entrance door will be redesigned to create a warm, welcoming first impression for youth entering the space.
This initiative also presents an opportunity for meaningful volunteer engagement. Corporate or community partners can directly participate in the transformation of the space, contributing time and talent while connecting with the mission of The Salvation Army in a tangible way.
This project is more than a cosmetic improvement—it is an investment in the experience of the children and teens we serve. By creating an environment that is both inviting and inspiring, we are strengthening our ability to support youth development and empower the next generation to grow into confident, capable, and caring individuals.
